Divine Mercy Shrine (El Salvador)

Divine Mercy Shrine is located in Divine Mercy Hills, PSB- Ulaliman which is overlooking Macajalar Bay. It features a 15.24 meter statue of Jesus as the Divine Mercy as the focal point of Divine Mercy Hills, a tract land overlooking Macajalar Bay on the southern island of Mindanao. 

We walk a distance as a penitence for the upcoming Holy week. 

As a holy and sacred site, visitors specially women are not allowed to to wear shorts and other revealing clothing inside the area. Those who do so will be forced to cover themselves with a long skirt provided by the shrine administrator.

As we witness the Divine Mercy Shrine flying rosary balloons it suddenly rain. After the rain had stopped, we witnessed a magical event where there was a beautiful rainbow, not just one but there are two rainbows arching the Jesus Christ statue.

Mapawa Nature Park (Malasag Cugman, CdO)

Mapawa Nature Park is located in Malasag Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, Malasag Road, Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. To get there you bring a budget of the following:

• ₱ 70.00 - Back and forth for the Habal-Habal (for commuters)

• ₱ 50.00 - Entrance Fee

• ₱ 10.00 - Hanging Bridge 

 There they have a "Pinnacle" a beautiful spot where you can view the entire Mapwa Nature Park.  

The place is nice for trekking/communing with nature as well as for team buildings and family reunion. They have rooms/houses for rent with food service available or you can bring your own food and water as they have a kitchen with appliances. There's a pool, a playground, a water hole, and lot's of untouched area where you can hike or ride a horse (they have horses for lease also).

This resort is 30 minutes away from the city.

The pool is supplied from the spring water and so it is fresh from the mountains. It had different pools for adults and children.

They had zumba to entertain people and they had life guards on each pool to prevent accidents especially for children. The place is clean and awesome for family outings.

• In day time from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, entrance fee is 40 pesos and 30 pesos for adult and children.
•  For overnight, you should come at 6:00 PM sharp or earlier with a group of 10 persons and above. They charge 80 pesos for adults and 60 pesos for children that should not swim beyond 4 feet.

Kinaiyahan Spring Resort (Cugman CdO)

Kinaiyahan Spring Resort is located in near FS Catanico, Cugman Cagayan de Oro City. Kinaiyahan Spring Resort is a newly develop spring resort owned by Mr. & Mrs. Uy. To get their you must bring at least a budget for the following:

•  ₱60.00 - Back and forth for the Habal-Habal (for commuters)
•  ₱25.00 - Entrance Fee
•  ₱5.00   - Hanging Bridge    

 Before you can enter the resort you must first conquer your fear of heights (for those who had phobia) to cross the hanging bridge. You must pay for ₱5.00 to cross the bridge.

 After crossing the bridge and hiking for a lil bit then you'll be able to experience the refreshing, cold and clear water from the spring. There you can have a relaxing feeling because of the the fresh air and the beautiful scenery.

 

Sagpulon falls( Jasaan Mis. Or)

The area is already developed before typhoon “Pablo” came and struck the area that caused several damages of the facilities. They turned it into a small resort provided with different facilities like cottages for rent, picnic tables at the minimum price and created a big basin or a man-made mini pools for the tourist who would like to go for swimming.

Since the area is still renovation, we satisfied ourselves with the cold water from the pool and just watched the magnificient view of the falls while eating our food in the cottage.

• ₱ 40/ person is the entrance fee.
• private vehicle should be used since the area is far from the main road.

This place includes the pool and beach. A

long with the warm accommodation is a free breakfast.

We stayed here for one day and one night. We had sang in the videoke, had fun physical activities and site exploration.

We had so much fun diving and swimming in the pool during the night and since there are only few guests who arrived, we felt that we rent the place exclusively.

• No entrance fee
• The rooms for 2 range 1800 to 2000
• The cabana by the beach is free to use if you are staying guest.
• Private vehicle is strongly suggested.
